Andrew is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP); he also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Wilfrid Laurier University. Andrew has completed the Canadian Securities Course with honours. He previously completed the mutual fund, life and accident/sickness insurance licensing courses; however by his own choice, and in keeping with the Stewart & Kett philosophy, he does not currently maintain any financial product licenses.
From 1993 to 2000 Andrew worked for a national financial services firm providing personal financial planning advice to individuals. He then joined Stewart & Kett because he believed that he could better serve clients in an "advice-only" environment. Andrew maintains a particular interest in investing since temporarily losing some of his summer earnings in the crash of 1987.
Andrew has contributed input for a number of case studies published in the Financial Post Business magazine, as well as for interviews with several financial industry journals.
Andrew is married with three young sons. In addition to enjoying family time at the cottage in the Minden area, Andrew volunteers for many community events and children's sports activities; he also plays recreational hockey himself.
With 3 healthy, active boys under the age of 10, some days I feel like my wife and I have our hands full. I still manage to play pick up hockey during the winter and get up to the family cottage in the Minden area in the summers.
